PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN BEFORE STARTING THE PAINT APPLICATION
*The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, and free from any kind of oil and dirt. Painting should not be done on damp and humid surfaces or when the air's relative humidity is above 80%.
*Less or more hardener and thinner than the manufacturer's recommended amount should not be used.
*If there is old, cracked, or blistered paint on the surface to be painted, it must be cleaned thoroughly.
* After removing the old paint from the surface where the application will be done, the surface should be cleaned.
*If possible, application to newly asphalted roads or newly constructed concrete surfaces should be done 3-4 weeks later. This allows for the release of gases from the asphalt.
*If possible, a thin coat of paint should be applied to the new asphalt surface first, and the main coat should be applied a week later. This eliminates the yellowing caused by the new asphalt in the paint.
*The paint consumption should be in accordance with the quantities specified by the manufacturer. Therefore, wet and dry film thicknesses must be measured and adjusted to the appropriate values.
PROBLEMS THAT MAY BE ENCOUNTERED AFTER APPLICATION AND THEIR POSSIBLE CAUSES;
Boyada Kaynama Problemi
*Applying the paint quite thickly to the surface
*Lack of sufficient pre-evaporation time between layers on surfaces where several layers are applied
*Application in extremely hot and extremely windy weather
*Use of Fast-Reacting Hardener and Thinner
*Rapid Evaporation of Thinner in the Paint Composition
Tozuma/Uçuşma Problemi
*Use of thinner that is not suitable for the paint or if the paint contains more thinner than necessary
*Keeping the application gun further away from the surface than necessary
*Low or high paint viscosity
*If the application is made with an air gun, the air pressure should be higher than it should be.
Boyada Kabarcıklanma Problemi
*Applying the paint quite thickly to the surface
*Lack of sufficient pre-evaporation time between layers on surfaces where several layers are applied
*Application in extremely hot and extremely windy weather
*Use of thinner not suitable for paint
Boyada Çatlama Problemi
*Applying a hard coating (such as alkyd paint) or paint (such as acrylic paint) on the flexible surface
*Poor floor cleaning
*Use of thinner not suitable for paint
*Lack of sufficient pre-evaporation time between layers on surfaces where several layers are applied
Boyada Buruşma ve Soyulma Problemi
*Applying the paint quite thickly to the surface
*Unsuitable weather conditions: excessively cold, excessively hot, excessively windy, excessively humid
*The surface dries very quickly while the lower layers are wet
*Using two incompatible systems (such as acrylic over alkyd) on top of each other
*Application without removing the old paint from the surface
*Poor floor cleaning and dampness of the floor
Boyada Akma ve Sarkma Problemi
*Application viscosity of the paint is too low or too high
*Inappropriate thinner use
*Too much wet film thickness
*Holding the application gun close to the surface
*Spraying paint unevenly and carelessly
*Accumulation of paint as a result of using the application gun in an excessively slow motion
